We are seeking an apprentice hairdresser to join our team.
Becoming an apprentice hair stylist is a full-time job with training, giving you the chance to earn while you learn, gaining real work experience as well as the skills, knowledge and behaviours to work in the industry.
You will work a minimum of 30 hours a week in the salon for a duration of approximately 24 months whilst being mentored through an in-house training programme. Plus you’ll spend 1 day a week training with a professional hair academy.
Responsibilities will begin with shampooing, customer care, reception duties, making refreshments and cleaning. As your ability grows you’ll assist the stylists with colouring, perming and drying hair and work in our training salon to gain practical experience.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for styling hair who is willing to learn and determined to progress in a career in hairdressing.
The position does not require experience, although good communication and the ability to interact well with people are essential. Trainee hairdressers partway through their qualifications are also welcome to apply.
You may be required to study English and maths at a level to suit you, if not already obtained at GCSE.
Salary: £4.81-£9.50 per hour
